Hi! My name is Dalton

Hello World! My name is Dalton Joseph Cecil and I am so excited to share with you how things are going since I was welcomed into the world on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 3:01 pm. I am sure many of you already knew about my arrival. Mommy and Daddy shared the news with lots of people last Saturday through phone calls, text messages, emails and Facebook. If they missed you, they are so sorry. It was not on purpose.

Mommy said if I wanted to post this message to our family blog I needed a few pictures to go along with it. My Big Brother Clayton said to just get used to the camera because Mommy never leaves home with out it. So I stayed awake long enough for her to take about 50 pictures this morning. She ended up with these four. If you know my current eat, sleep, wake pattern, you will know that staying awake during the day is quite the challenge but anything for Mommy.

Dalton Joseph

I apologize for the lack of smiles missing in these pictures. I'm still not quite sure how to use the muscles in my face that produce smiles. I can tell you that I have mastered the muscles necessary to eat. After all when you are born with a 9lb, 13oz physique, you have to keep it up and they only way I am going to do this is by eating every 2-3 hours and Mommy and Daddy will tell you I have not missed a beat.

I did have my first visit to Dr. Stanley this week. He said I was cute and that Mommy and Daddy had nothing to worry about. Feeding me like they are doing is working since I had only lost five ounces since I was born. I guess this is acceptable since everyone was happy with the news.

We have had lots of great visitors this week who have come to meet me. Ava and Avo Aguiar spent a few days and helped Mommy and Daddy with me and Clayton. Auntie Amanda and cousin Trevor were also here as were Aunt Christine and uncle Tim. Tim and Judy Merrill and Jason, Jordan and Baby Taygen all came by the hospital to meet me too. And even more people have stopped by our house including Rachel and Tom, Auntie Amy, Nicole, and The Ernandes Family. Needless to say I have spent lots of time being cuddled and hugged. This is a great life!

I should probably wrap this up since its time to eat again and when I get hungry I let everyone know just as I modeled in the picture below.
I'm hungry!

Thanks for reading. Stay tuned for more pictures and hopefully more posts. And if you are in town, feel free to stop by. Mommy and Daddy would love to introduce me to you in person. Thanks for reading! ~Dalton
