Road 18 Update - Moving Dirt

I posted here back in April that we had taken the big leap that we had been planning for and we bought our own little piece of dirt. So we have it, now what do we do with it? That's the easy answer. The bigger question is how do we pay for it? Still working on that but progress is happening and you can see it in the pictures below. What progress you ask? The swirls in the dirt mean we have had the ground surveyed (thanks Chuck and Tom!), leveled the field and are another step closer to putting trees in the ground.

Everything is baby steps and that is okay. All of the wire fence and posts were removed. We took down a few old buildings and replaced some siding on another. Anyone want some old red barnwood? I'll make you a deal. Might even trade you for something. Say tractor work? Hahahahah.
Next up Jake is having most (he's says all) of the large trees removed. They are old walnut trees and are of no production value to us.

That's about it for now. Stay tuned for more updates and thanks for reading. ~mrs. c
