How a Farmer Gardens

One of the most important requirements Jake had when we sought out to purchase a piece of property to build a home and plant an orchard was adequate space to have a garden. Today that prerequisite was met. Introducing...

The Cecil Family Garden 2014


It doesn't look like much more than a clean piece of worked up soil but after we got done today, it is now a heavily populated plot with LOTS of seeds. Corn, zucchini, tomatoes, squash, pumpkins, beans, peppers and numerous varieties of each. 




Jake loves to plant seeds. I love to mark what it is we planted. Jake thinks I'm crazy.

As with anything we do, we did it as a family. 



It was lots of work and little brother needed a snack.


And mom got the greatest treat of all...lots of dirty clothes. 
But that is okay!
